Gardai have issued a new appeal for help in investigating the Jastene Valdez murder case.

They're trying to trace the murdered 24 year old's blue handbag and iPad mini.

Jastene was abducted from Enniskerry at around 6.15pm on Saturday and her killer was shot dead by a Garda in Cherrywood on Sunday.

The body of the IT Tallaght student was found in dense gorse at Puck's Castle in Rathmichael on Monday.

Detectives say they're "continuing the appeal for information regarding the movements of the black Nissan Qashqai, registered number 171 D 20419, and the driver of this vehicle Mark Hennessy, between 5pm on Saturday 19th May and 8pm on Sunday 21st.

We would like to speak with people who were in the; Dalkey, Killiney, Ballybrack, Sallynoggin, Cherrywood, Rathmichael areas.  If you travelled in this part of county Dublin between Saturday and Sunday evenings and you have a dash cam fitted please contact us and make the footage available to investigators."

Yesterday a post mortem confirmed Hennessy died after a bullet fired by a Garda in Cherrywood on Sunday, ricocheted off his shoulder and entered his chest.

The Irish Indpendent says detectives are examining dating apps to see if the married dad of two was using sites to prey on women.

However there's no suggestion Jastene was on a dating web site or that she'd had any contact with him.
