Post mortem taking place on Dublin pensioner

A post mortem is taking place on the body of a man who was assaulted in his Dublin flat yesterday evening.

62-year-old Cathal Sweeney was discovered with head injuries when gardai were called to a flat in Ashdale Gardens, Terenure, at around quarter to six yesterday evening.

He died in St James's hospital a short time later.

A man in his 30's was arrested at the scene and remains in Garda custody in Terenure following the death of the pensioner.
