The Pope is being criticised for giving his backing to the slapping of children.
Pope Francis told a crowd at the Vatican this week that he met a father who told him he hit his children when they misbehaved.
The pontiff said the man was right, that he should punish, but not hit a child in the face because it would humiliate them.
