Plans For EU Digital Travel Cert To Be Outlined This Week

A travel expert says the Government will be watching the rest of Europe before easing international travel restrictions.

Portugal says it will welcome passengers from most European countries from tomorrow, including for non-essential reasons.

Plans for the EU's digital travel cert will be discussed by MEPs and the European Commission on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, one in five people intend to go on a foreign holiday this summer, according to a new survey.

The Ireland Thinks Poll for the Irish Mail on Sunday found over half of those surveyed will opt for a staycation instead.

Hotels and guesthouses here are preparing to reopen on June 2nd.
