A man in his 30's remains in Beaumount Hospital this afternoon after he was rescued from Dollymount Beach by a Coast Guard helicopter.
The man was winched to safety at around 9.30am after a person contacted emergency services expressing concern for someone who was in the water.
Station officer with the Irish Coast Guard, Tom Byrne, says the casualty was unconscious and suffering from severe hypothermia when they pulled him from the water:
