The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the family of an Irish man who has died in San Francisco.
He has been named as Dean MacCearain, from Co Monaghan - who features in the Queen of Ireland movie about Pantibliss.
Panti has taken to social media to pay tribute to the 23 year old - describing him as a smart, quick-witted, funny young man.
It's understood Dean was on holiday with his family when he passed away.
The cause of his death is not yet known.
