Over €3.9 million Of Drugs Seized In North Dublin.

Drugs worth over €3.9 million have been seized in North Dublin.

The discovery was made after a car was intercepted in the Balbriggan area shortly after 7 o'clock yesterday evening.

187 kilogrammes of cannabis herb and 30 kilogrammes of cannabis resin was seized.

A man in his 20s has been arrested and is detained at a Garda Station in North Dublin.

This seizure forms part of Operation Tara; an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy, which was launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris on 2nd July 2021.

The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels - international, national, local - involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
