A leading campaigner says Ireland's response to drug addiction has been too slow.
Irish and international experts will gather today for the Help Not Harm Symposium.
The event will consider recommendations from a recent Oireachtas Committee report.
And they'll also discuss how the recent death of 18 year old Alex Ryan in Cork could have been prevented.
