A Ballyfermot man, who managed to escape from garda custody in mid December, has been re-captured in Ronanstown in Dublin.
23 year old Lee McDonnell was being escorted by prison service staff from a hospital appointment when he made his escape.
He was spotted at Rowlagh Avenue in Ronanstown at around 5pm yesterday, where he was recaptured and taken back to Portlaoise prison.
