The trial of a woman accused of murdering her mother at their home in Clonsilla is due to resume hearing evidence today.

Anna Butautiene was killed on Christmas Eve 2010.

Greta Dudko admits killing her 55-year-old mother but denies murdering her claiming she didn't mean to do it.

Yesterday, her husband told her trial that he found his mother in law dead in her bed at Station Court Hall, Clonsilla on Christmas Day 2010.

His wife told him she pushed her against a wall during a fight the night before.

A post mortem revealed she died from head injuries.

Greta Dudko was working as a nurse at the time and the court heard there were difficulties in her marriage and that she'd been drinking heavily.

The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to manslaughter but this wasn't accepted by the DPP.

Her trial continues today.
