The State Pathologist has taken the stand in the murder trial of a Tallaght man.
31 year old Gary Flynn denies murdering dad of two, Seamus O’Byrne.
He was gunned down in March 2009 in front of his girlfriend and baby in the driveway of their home in Tymon North Park.
Dr. Marie Cassidy told the court that her post-mortem showed that the victim died from gun shot wounds and was shot five times – including once in the head and twice in the back.
She said one of the wounds, on his hip, was only a flesh wound and agreed that the bullet could have gone through somebody else and then hit him.
The court previously heard that the victim’s partner, Sharon Rattigan, had been shot twice in the leg as she tried to wrestle the gun from the gunman.
The trial continues on Monday.
