The Road Safety Authority is warning motorists to take extra care this morning as heavy snow is forecast for several counties.
A Status Orange snowfall warning is in place for counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
While, a snow and ice warning is also in place for Longford, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway and Roscommon where up to 4 centimetres of snow is expected to fall between now and midnight.
