Up to 200 people are feared to have drowned after a boat packed with mainly African migrants bound for Italy sank off the coast of Libya.

Many appeared to have been trapped in the hold when it capsized.

Rescuers did pick up 200 refugees, this survivor is now at a detention centre to the west of Tripoli:

Meanwhile police in Austria say they won't know until later today the exact number of people who died in the back of lorry found on the side of a road there yesterday.

It's understood up to 50 refugees may have suffocated to death in the vehicle.

The truck, which had Hungarian number plates, was parked at the side of the motorway for an extended period of time.
