The Mental Health & Wellbeing Summit in Dublin today will have help at hand for people looking to overcome difficulties.

Those attending will be able to get practical information and education on coping with and managing mental health.

It's taking place at the Aviva Stadium today and is completely sold out.

Event Director Dearbhla Meeney says the aim is to make the subject more accessible.

She observed: "The whole objective of the summit is to make information and education about mental health accessible to as many people as possible.

"We cover a huge range of topics on one day, and put them all under one roof... People come from the corporate sector, the sporting sector, the general public, teachers and students."

She added: "The workplace in particular is grappling with this topic, and trying to find out how to manage it better - and we cover that through workshops and through keynote speaker sessions.

"Also there's a range of exhibitors and service providers there who have information and expertise on mental health in the workplace and how to manage it."
