McDonald's has confirmed it's taking one of its much loved desserts off its menu.

The humble sundae won't be an option for customers anymore, meaning you'll no longer have to consider caramel, chocolate or strawberry as a topping while you wait in the queue.

McDonald's is also making its McFlurry's smaller. The regular 170g pot is being reduced by 20g to 150g.

While that news may upset those with a sweet-tooth, the fast-food giant is introducing new desserts to its menu.

The Mini McFlurry is hitting menus in all McDonald’s restaurants in Ireland this week.

It is half the size, and comes in all core flavours Cadbury Dairy Milk, Oreo and Cadbury Crunchie.

Two Limited Edition McFlurry flavours, Flake Chocolate and Flake Raspberry, will also be available this summer.
