A Dublin man is to be sentenced today for killing another man following a fight which started on Christmas night.
34 year old Wayne Kennedy from Rathsallagh Park in Shankill was found guilty of the manslaughter of 26 year old David Spain last July.
The court heard Kennedy had been texting a third man on Christmas night 2013 saying he was owed 50 euro.
A straightner was arranged between the men at Rathallagh Park in Shankill in the early hours of St Stephens Day.
When David Spain came out to see what was happening -he was stabbed and died from his injuries.
In a victim impact statement his family said he was gentle giant and their lives have been destroyed by his death.
Kennedy will be sentenced this morning.
