A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down in Finglas.
The driver hit him after trying to rob a van, and is now on the run.
At ten to eleven this morning, a man was attempting to steal goods out of the back of a van near Kilshane Cross when the van driver caught him.
The suspect then jumped into a silver Mazda with a 00-D registration and knocked down a pedestrian while driving at speed.
The victim is in a serious condition in hospital.
The driver - who's unshaven, in his mid 20s and is wearing a grey baseball cap and dark hoodie - is now being sought by Gardai, including the Garda Helicopter.
