A man has been jailed for eight years for stabbing to death a man who was trying to help his wounded friend during a fight in Dublin over Christmas 2013.
Wayne Kennedy of Rathsallagh Park, Shankill, Dublin was acquitted of David Spain’s murder last July, but found guilty of manslaughter.
The court heard it happened during a pre-arranged ‘straightener’ between the 34-year-old and a professional boxer who owed him €50.
