A man in his twenties has been arrested following an assault in north Dublin.
The incident happened at Fairview Strand at around 11.10pm last night.
A man in his sixties was discovered in an unconscious state and taken to the Mater Hospital, where his injuries are described as serious.
The suspect, a man in his twenties, was arrested at the scene and is being held at Clontarf Garda Station.
