A Romanian man has appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged carjacking at Dublin airport yesterday afternoon.
The owner was attacked before his car was taken and a Garda was later hospitalised during an arrest.
24 year old Petricia Lucaci appeared in court with a swollen black eye on the left side of his face.
He's facing three charges in relation to the alleged incident.
The 65-year-old owner of the car was hospitalised after being attacked at around 3.40 yesterday afternoon.
Gardai stopped the car on nearby Naul Road in Ballymun.
The suspect and one of the responding officers were injured during the arrest but both have since been discharged from hospital.
Mr. Lucaci is charged with assault causing harm, dangerous driving and the unauthorised taking of a car.
There was no application for bail today and he's due back in court next week.
