A man is due to be sentenced today for killing another man in Inchicore by punching him to the ground.
Alan Hatch of South Circular Road, Kilmainham admitted delivering the punch that led to Liam Bennett's death in August of last year.
Liam Bennett was left fighting for life after being punched once in the head outside a property at Tyrconnell Road on August 1st last.
The 46-year-old banged his head off the ground and died in hospital a week later.
Alan Hatch was arrested after Gardai gathered CCTV footage from the area and he pleaded guilty to manslaughter back in April.
Judge Mary Ellen Ring adjourned sentencing until today to allow Mr. Bennett's family time to prepare victim impact reports.
The 37-year-old will be brought to court after lunchtime.
