A 39 year old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a fire in Co.Kildare on Tuesday.
Daragh Ward with an address at 66, Millfield Manor is charged with doing damage to a house at Millfield Manor under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Detective Maeve Ward of Newbridge Garda Station gave evidence of arrest charge and caution on Wednesday.
The accused made no reply.
Mr Ward’s lawyer asked that he get appropriate medical and psychiatric attention, to which the judge agreed.
An application for legal aid will be made at a later stage.
Mr Ward has been remanded in custody at Cloverhill to appear in court next Wednesday April 8th.
