Gardaí are investigating after a 36 year old man died following an apparent stabbing in Dublin.
A woman in her mid forties has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Shortly after 10.30 last night, Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to a house on Phibsboro Road in north Dublin.
There they found a 36 year old man suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The man was taken from the scene by Ambulance to The Mater Hospital where he died in the early hours of this morning.
A woman in her mid 40's, has been arrested in connection with the investigation
She's being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Mountjoy Garda Station.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic and technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
