A 33 year old man has been hospitalised following an attack on Ushers Quay yesterday morning.
The victim was beaten and robbed at a bus stop
At around 10 o'clock yesterday morning a group of men attacked a 33 year old man who was waiting for a bus on Ushers Quay.
They beat him and robbed his mobile phone.
The victim suffered facial injuries and lost a significant amount of blood at the scene.
He was taken to James's Hospital where his injuries are described as serious but non-life threatening.
Gardai from Kevin Street are investigating and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
