Man Assaulted By Group Of Men On Aston Quay

An investigation is underway after a man was assaulted by a group of men in Dublin's City Centre.

He was attackd on Aston Quay at around half three yesterday afternoon.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was taken to St James Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Gardai at Pearse Street are investigating the assault which was witnessed by numerous people.

In a statement a garda spokesperson said: '' Gardaí in Pearse Street were alerted to an alleged assault that occurred on Aston Quay yesterday afternoon Monday 5th June, 2023 at approximately 3.30pm. A man, aged early 30s, was assaulted by a group of men and was attended to by emergency services. He was removed from the scene to St. James Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigations ongoing.''
