A man remains in custody this morning after a car rammed a Garda Station yesterday.
The vehicle was driven into the front of Monaghan Garda station and set on fire, just after 7 in the evening.
The man in his 40's was arrested at the scene.
He's being held at Carrickmacross Garda Station where he can questioned for up to 24 hours.
No one was injured in the incident - however, the building has suffered smoke damage.
