A man has been arrested after reports that shots were fired in Dublin.
The incident happened in Ballyfermot last night.
Gardai responded to this incident at around 11pm after reports of shots being fired in the Kylemore Park area.
A 47 year old was detained after a violent struggle with two officers of a community policing unit at Ballyfermot Parade.
Gardai recovered a gun, a quantity of ammunition and a knife.
The man is being quesioned at Ballyfermot Garda station.
