A 47 year old man has appeared in court following yesterday’s dramatic stand-off with gardai in Tallaght.
A number of shots were fired during the 14 hour siege in Kiltipper.
At around half two yesterday morning gardai were called to at an apartment in Deerpark in Kiltipper. A dramatic 14 hour siege then ensued and a number of shots were fired and nearby residents had to be evacuated.
The situation was finally brought under control by trained negotiators at around 4pm. This afternoon 47 year old Patrick Kinch from Deepark Square in Tallaght appeared before the Dublin district court charged with the possession of a firemarm.
The court heard he made no reply when he was cautioned. He’s been remanded in custody to appear in court later this week.
