'We must keep this recovery going'

These were the key words from Taoiseach Enda Kenny last night when he made his speech at the Fine Gael Ard Fheis, in Dublin.

The main theme of his speech focused on strong economic growth and maintaining the recovery of the country

If re-elected Fine Gael has promised to hire 10 thousand more Gardai, nurses, doctors and teachers and abolish the USC tax.

With reference to the health system, the Taoiseach has promised to invest up to €800 million.

The Taoiseach admitted the Government didn't get everything right in the last few years, but insists only Fine Gael has the policies to change the future

However, Sinn Fein has dismissed Fine Gael's claim that Ireland's economy is recovering.

Gerry Adams criticised Taoiseach Enda Kenny's speech last night, describing it as full of "empty election promises'
