Local artists are getting the chance to transform traffic signal boxes across the south east of the city.

Dublin Canvas is a community art project intended to bring flashes of colour and creativity to everyday objects in the City.

The project takes previously unused public spaces and turns them into canvases to help brighten up the City - making Dublin a more beautiful place to live.

The Dublin Canvas project is hoping to add a splash of colour to Sandymount, Donnybrook, Ranelagh and Terenure.

Artwork is already on display on boxes on Camden Street and in Rathmines. It is hoped 200 boxes will be painted in total.

People have until Monday 21st of September to apply to get involved.
