Justice Minister Asks For Report On Roma Cases

 The Garda commissioner is to prepare a report on how two Roma children came to be removed from their families amid concerns about their identity.

The Justice Minister says he has concerns about what happened in the cases in Dublin and Westmeath.

A 7 year old girl and a two year old boy were both the subject of care orders and underwent a DNA test after concern was raised they did not look like their parents or siblings.

Both were found to be living with their biological parents and were reunited with their families.

Pavee Point has called for an inquiry into the actions of Gardaí and the HSE.
