IRONMAN 70.3 Takes Place Today

Ironman 70.3 is taking place in Dublin and Wicklow today.

The race begins with a 1.9km swim in Dublin Bay with a 1.9km swim and then followed by an intense 90km cycle through the Wicklow Mountians National Park, before returning to Dún Laoghaire for a 21.1km run through the streets and finishing up on the East Pier.

 

Numerous road closures are in place in the Dun Laoghaire, Enniskerry and Roundwood areas as a result.

According to the AA, Queen’s Rd will be closed until 9pm tonight. Link Road, Marine Parade, Newtownsmith and Windsor Terrace are closed until 7pm. Park Road and Glenageary Road Lower are closed until 9:30am. From 9am to 5pm, Harbour Road and Old Dun Leary Road will close from Clarence St to Longford Terrace.
