Irish Water Refuse To Pay For Burst Pipe

Irish Water says a burst pipe in Dun Laoghaire is the responsibility of the owner to fix - but nobody knows who that is.

The pipe's been pouring water on to the Sea Scout site on the west pier for the past eight months.

But Dun Laoighaire Rathdown County Council claims no one knows who owns it and that it doesn't seem to serve any home or local business.

Local councillor Karl Gill says Irish Water are asking the scout's to foot the cost of fixing the pipe:
