Ireland is getting its own version of the Queen's Speech this Christmas.

Panti will deliver a message on TV3, looking back at the year Ireland voted yes to marriage equality.

The television network said "in an unprecedented Christmas first in Ireland, TV3 will be launching its very own 'Queen of Ireland's Christmas Message' from Panti Bliss".

The self-proclaimed 'Queen of Ireland' will take to the screen to "reflect on the moments that have defined 2015" and she will also "share her vision for 2016".

"In her famously poignant and inclusive style, she will address the nation, as we say goodbye to the year that voted yes to marriage equality and ponder on what challenges or possibilities lie ahead."

It's expected to be a light-hearted, Irish, take on the annual speech that Britain's Queen Elizabeth gives each Christmas Day on BBC1.

And going on her previous, Panti is pretty alright at "speechifying", so we should be in for a treat.
