Insurance Premiums Could Go Up

Irish people could be facing yet another additional charge on their insurance policies in the future.

According to today's Irish Independent, the government is considering imposing a levy on every policy to create a distress fund which would help those who can't get flood cover.

Environment Minister Phil Hogan says talks on the issue with an industry group aren't making any real progress, while he's also criticised the effort companies are making to help those who've been badly affected by flooding.
