An Improvised Explosive Device has been discovered in Dublin.
The Army Bomb Disposal unit was called to the Macroom Road area of Coolock this afternoon where they found a viable device outside a home.
A number of houses in the area were evacuated as a precaution at around 1.30.
The IED has since been made safe at the scene without the need for a controlled explosion.
It has now been handed over to Gardaí for an investigation.
