It's reported there are plans to turn Bewleys on Grafton Street into a boutique hotel.
According to The Herald property developer Johnny Ronan plans to put 70 bedrooms in the floors above the cafe.
The famous Harry Clarke stained glass windows would be preserved as part of the €250m investment.
Johnny Ronan has also announced plans to build a four star hotel on the quays beside Tara Street Dart Station.
If given the go ahead. the 167-bed venture would be Dublin's tallest building at 22 storeys.
