Today shortly after 1 pm, those working at the Department of Enterprise received an email to leave their desks and not enter the building for the rest of the day.
It was due to a bomb threat sent to government buildings on Kildare Street.
Gardaí reported "a number" of security threats at Government buildings today.
However, after investigating they could confirm that the threat was fake and all the buildings were deemed safe.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are aware of a number of security alerts at Government buildings this afternoon, Friday 21st July 2023.
Following further enquiries An Garda Síochána is satisfied that all of the alerts have been deemed as hoax and the areas have been declared safe."
