The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee says The HSE will be brought before the Committee to explain how a Hepatitis C lobby Group misspent public money.

A HSE audit found that Positive Action received over 2 million euro in public funding since 2009, but collapsed earlier this year with debts of over €100,000

In September 2013 officers at Pearse Street Garda station were asked to investigate the alleged misuse of public money by the group.

The money was spent on the likes of lobster dinners, dog kennels, manicures and Angel healing.
