The head of IAG will face questions from the Dail's Transport Committee today on the company's plans for Aer Lingus, if its bid to buy the airline is accepted.

Willie Walsh held talks yesterday with Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe with further discussions expected in the coming days.

Mr. Walsh has insisted that the Aer Lingus deal isn't dead, and he's certain he can convince the Government to sell its 25 percent stake in the airline.

Transport Committee Chairman John O'Mahony says they want assurances on how the sale would affect on regional routes..
