There are fresh concerns over the trial of Ibrahaim Halawa, a Dublin teen being held in a Cairo jail.

The 19 year old has been locked up since he was arrested during protests in the city in 2013.

His trial was pushed back again today, this time until the 4th of October.

It was due to take place in Egypt this morning, after several other postponements.

Today it also emerged that two years later the judge now wants to see video evidence from the day in question.

Darragh Mackin from KRW Law, a human rights law practice, is over in Cairo representing Ibrahaim.

He says, "We are now two years on from the date of the arrest and for the first time the family have been informed that the Egyptian authorities now need to see video footage from the day in question."

Mr Mackin added how alarming it is that it has taken this amount of time for the request to be made, "It has taken two years for the prosecution to make a decision in respect of what you would imagine is crucial evidence."
