The Minister for Foreign Affairs is trying to make it easier to apply for a passport.
Charlie Flanagan's department has issued a booklet explaining how to properly fill out the application.
The Passport Office receives 80-thousand incomplete forms each year.
Minister Flanagan also confirmed that the new wallet-sized Passport Card will be available from the end of September.
