Dublin Zoo's newest arrival has died suddenly.
Ernie the hippo had arrived from a Safari Park in the UK last month.
He had been settling well in his new environment, but passed away "unexpectedly."
Dublin Zoo says a "comprehensive" examination is being carried out to understand the cause.

In a statement Dublin Zoo says Ernie was a vibrant addition, and the team is devastated.
