Graham Dwyer’s murder trial has heard the architect’s family were at home when Gardai called to arrest him in October 2013.

The 42-year-old denies murdering childcare worker Elaine O’Hara in the Dublin Mountains just over a year beforehand.

At 7am on the morning of Oct 17th 2013, Detective Sergeant Peter Woods knocked on the front door of Graham Dwyer’s home at Kerrymount Close in Foxrock while several other officers went around to the back door.

He arrested the 42-year-old on suspicion of murdering Elaine O’Hara whose body was found in Kilakee, Rathfarnham a month beforehand.

The court heard his family were at home at the time and the two-day search began in full at twenty to nine.

A number of items were photographed and put into evidence bags and an Audi car and Land Rover were taken away for tests.

Some computers and a memory stick were also seized during a search of Dwyer’s workplace on Lower Baggot Street.

The prosecution alleges the architect murdered Elaine O’Hara in August 2012 to satisfy his own sexual desires. Mr. Dwyer denies the charge.
