A man has been found not guilty of murdering his friend at a flat in Cabra but guilty of impeding the prosecution.

Peter Gunn was found in a water filled ditch near Dublin airport after being stabbed in the heart in January 2009.

From the stand earlier this week, Alan Harte of Claireville Grove, Glasnevin admitted helping to get rid of his body but denied killing him.

The jury reached its verdict after just over two hours of deliberations and Mr. Harte will be sentenced for impeding the prosecution next month.
