Gardai investigating the murder of Kenneth O'Brien have renewed their appeal for information.
They've expanded their witness appeal and are looking to speak to anyone who was walking along the Grand Canal in Ardclough between Friday and Saturday to contact them.
Officers are also looking to speak to anyone who may have met Kenneth after he left his home on Lealand Road in Clondalkin in the early hours of Friday morning.
Gardai carried out a number of checkpoints in the Ardclough area this evening, to give locals or those who may pass through the village a chance to speak to them.
The 33 year old's torso was found in a suitcase, in the canal, by walkers last Saturday afternoon.
