Gardaí in Dublin are investigating an aggravated burglary at a house in Rialto.
The incident happened at around 11.30 on Thursday night at Dolphin House in Dublin 8.
Four men entered the house and assaulted the two main occupants - who were aged 40 and 33.
The 33-year-old received non life-threatening injuries and was taken to nearby St. James' Hospital.
The other man did not require medical attention.
Extensive damage was caused to the house during the break-in.
No arrests have been made, but Gardaí in Kilmainham are appealing for anyone with any information on the incident to contact them.
