Dublin Bus says it happened earlier this month on the 184, which was travelling to Newtownmountkennedy.

The company says it's passed on CCTV footage to Gardai, who were called to the scene.

In a statement, Gardaí said they are "investigating an assault on a bus driver at Lower Kindlestown Road, Greystones on the 4th of May 2018 at 3.20pm."

Dublin Bus said "This incident took place on Friday 4 May at approximately 15.00 on Route 184 travelling towards Newtownmountkennedy."

"An Garda Síochána attended the scene and CCTV footage from the bus has been downloaded and made available to them", a statement read.
