Gardai at Kilmainham have helped rescue a swan after reports it was in trouble. It was spotted disorientated on the Naas Road in the Inchicore area. (Maybe it was looking for the Swan Shopping Centre in Rathmines but went looking in the wrong direction...?)

You could say it had some neck being in the middle of the road, but officers were quick to come to its aid. They scooped up the swan and returned it to its rightful place on the Grand Canal, where it swam off happily into the night.
