Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Firhouse in Dublin last night.
Two men were seen trying to set fire to a black Volkswagen Golf at Old Court Cottages shortly before 7pm.
These men subsequently tried unsuccessfully to stop a number of cars along Old Court Road and then scaled a wall into Old Court Manor Estate.
This incident may be connected with an attempted shooting at a pub in the area.
Gardaí would like anyone who was in Old Court between 6pm and 8pm on Friday to contact them at Rathfarnham Garda Station on 01 666 6500.
